Well, after watching these screenshots, I am sure that it is going to be a beautiful OS, but we still have to wait to see its performance.

Microsoft should not only compete with its own OS, but also with Mac leopard.

Hi Asif,

I have a feeling Microsoft will put a lot of effort into this OS seeing as to how much poor publicity they received over Vista. It would be disastrous for them to come out with two OS back to back that were not well received.

Looks great, gives me a feeling that MS is following Apple Inc. footsteps in creating things that also appeal to the eye. Its not far behind Apple now in terms of things to offer on the looks front.

teraOm November 6, 2008

It might be beautiful, “might be”, but what matters more is the performance. Vista had the aqua look, but what about the performance??
lets hope this ll be good.

Vista by extent and purposes was a ‘beta’ or arguably a ‘pre-alpha’ of windows 7, it was only released so to fit their release criteria of a new version every 5 years.

Though from the talk of tech..it seems like it will rival vista/mac os beauty and XP speed and stability…if it doesn’t i’m moving to a mac :p

So is that what was up with Vista? I wondered…

I hope 7 exceeds my high, post-Vista expectations. Thanks for posting the screen shots, although I’m not sure what to make of them.

i hope windows 7 faster and stable than windows vista

Looks great. I endorse what has been told above that MS is really looking for some things that give a vibrant feeling and also appeal to the eye and also compliment performance.

Hate to say but this vista theme looks very bad, atleast they can change the theme and show wats new in Windows 7.

Ben Pei November 9, 2008

Er..yet another OS?

Mega Champ November 17, 2008

People are so worried about that Windows 7 looks like vista, what they don’t understand is that its just the same theme, not the same features.

The real test is how well it runs, not how pretty it looks.

I am sure it will be along the same line as Microsoft have been building their OSs. With other words it will be pretty and very resource hungry.

Good post. I am not sure I am looking forward to this OS or not. I know a lot of people really disliked Vista, but I thought it was ok. I am not sure if I am ready for another OS switch already though.
