Free mobile email applicationConsilient is bringing a free mobile email application, called Push, to India for the first time. The complete news release follows below. I thought you might find this interesting to read. For people who want real push email on their existing mobile phones. Push is free and it is available at www.consilient.com. It basically gives any mobile phone “Blackberry” type functionality.

Push Features include:

  • Access up to 5 email accounts on your mobile phone.

  • Push lets any regular mobile phone become a “BlackBerry” type device with real-time email access.

  • You can “personalize” all of your email accounts with themes and pictures.

  • MP3 files can be set as ringtones, to let you know when you have new email.

  • You can save, attach and send pictures through any of your email accounts.

  • It runs on any data network in India.

Consilient is a push email company and a former partner of RIM with offices in Canada, San Francisco and Singapore. The underlying technology used in the application is push-based – it was built for the consumer market in Asia. One of the benefits of this application is that consumers can access their personal and corporate email using a single application.

I installed it and now want to get rid of it. The software is a resource hog and does not allow uninstallation on my xda IIi pocket pc.
It has now buggered up my SMS also. The site is strangely silent about how to uninstall the program.
