If you’re an Apple fan and love buying them but can’t afford them, you’ve probably checked out www.gainsaver.com. There’s no doubt that you loved the prices they list for their used apple products, especially their Mac laptops. Well, if you actually gave in and bought yourself one, you might have found out like most others that you were duped big time. However, there’s a minute chance you got everything they promised and feel good enough about the deal to have recommended others.
Well, what’s the story behind Gainsaver? Are they reliable or just scamming the public? Going by all the reviews I’ve read by actual customers and their experiences with the website, I have to admit that the majority experiences are against this website.
Buyers who actually fall for it are more often than not those who aren’t very technically savy and can’t look beyond the price. Of course, there are also those that do all their research but just can’t get past the tempting prices and give in. Once they do pay up and receive their machine, they find it defective on arrival or find that it works fine for a couple of months and then begins to malfunction. Attempts at getting back to customer service to resolve the issue often end up in frustrations and delays and confusions. The only thing missing in most cases appears to be a resolution to a valid issue.
That being said, I must say that Gainsaver almost seems to be making an attempt to please one customer in a hundred, really giving them what they pay for or sometimes even more. This appears to give them enough believers to create enough confusion about whether or not they’re good or really bad.
Most customers claim that parts were actually removed from the used laptops and reinstallation of those parts was only possible by paying a higher price.
There’s also the fact that customer service can only be accessed via email. Most customers find it frustrating that they can’t just pick up the phone and talk to a real person that they can hold accountable. Emails are easily ignored and refunds are almost always very difficult to get.
Customers also complain about their orders that aren’t fulfilled because Gainsaver claims to have run out of stock. However, contrary to their claims, the products continue to be advertised for sale on their website.
All in all, there seems to be too many fishy issues with this website and customers who ignore these signs shouldn’t be surprised if they end up paying the price.
