In our technology driven world there are always new-fangled gadgets and gizmos popping out for our use and entertainment. When the first electronic organizers came out, they were all the rage, when portable DVD players became available parents rejoiced, and with the advent of iPods the world became much more musical. But the latest and most new-fangled gadget being put out by Apple will have everyone clamoring for this amazing device.

The iPad, Apple’s newest product, brings emails, movies, photos, books, music, and calendars into your very hands. With a simple flick of you finger you can brose through your music, emails, internet pages, pending appointment or meeting notes. This new device weights in at a meager 1.5 pounds, is half an inch thick and has a viewing screen of 9.7 inches, so you will never be burdened by the iPad.

Now for the crème de la crème…iPad, at its conception, is capable of running nearly 140,000 different apps. Almost all the apps that are available for the iPhone and iPod are also well suited for the iPad and new apps, specifically for the iPad, are currently being developed. If you already have several apps on you iPhone or iPod you need not repurchase any of them, you can simply sync them with the iPad. Here is just a small sampling of some of the apps that will be available for the iPad:

iWork: One of the most favored features of Apple lovers, iWork has been redesigned for the iPad. The new iWork will still feature all of the helpful tools you have come to love and depend on: Keynote, Pages and Numbers. So you will be able to make all the spreadsheets, slideshows and brochures you may need. The apps will be sold separately through the App’s store.

Games: There are many different game apps available for the new iPad, some familiar and some retooled. Some of the game apps that are currently available are: Shutter Island, Mah Jong Solitaire, Koth 1.02, Galcon Fusion 1.0.8, Age of Curling 1.0 and many more.

iCal Calendars: Keeping track of appointments can be as easy as a flick of the finger with all the different calendar applications that are available through the Apps Store. You can find all different types of calendars such as: Australian Holiday Calendar, Russian Orthodox Liturgical Calendar, MacAppStuff Remind 1.0, Moon Phases Calendar, Options Expiration Calendar and hundreds more.

MacGourmet Deluxe 1.2.5: This app will be loved by gourmet and novice chefs alike as it allows you to create and share recipes. You can take notes about which family members liked which dishes or plan your diet around certain nutritional needs, like lower sodium or higher fiber.

Easy Translator 4.2.8:If you are a fan of foreign websites you no longer need to be held back by the language barrier. With the help of Easy Translator 4.2.8 you can read almost any website in your native language.

Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0.1: Emailing is essential to everyone whether you are the CEO of a company or a stay-at-home-mom and we want and need our emails to be safe and quick. iTunes:This is an app that everyone is familiar with and one which most people already have. If you do already have an iTunes app on your computer or iPod or iPhone, you can simply sync it with the iPad and have accesses to all your music, movies or audio books.

Calculus 1.3.4: Calculators are without a doubt a very helpful app on any computer, but sometimes you need more than a standard calculator, especially if you do a great deal of traveling or foreign business. Calculus 1.3.4 acts as a conversion calculator, converting temperatures, speeds, and some currencies.
