iLetYou.com is an open online rental community that enables stores, entrepreneurs and regular people to easily create their own rental stores to instantly earn money or credit on a revenue share basis.

iLetYou is currently available for rental of DVDs and Video Games from a variety of stores, a fun way to explore the long tail starting with DVDs and Games.

iLetYou is essentially eBay for rental, a marketplace where consumers connect with a wide variety of rental stores in an open and fun community.

Overview

iLetYou was founded in early 2006 by two Internet entrepreneurs, Rodger Visitacion and Vaibhav Domkundwar. The idea started from a realization that the hundred or so DVDs sitting on Rodger’s bookshelf, when taken in aggregate with millions upon millions of other collections, had untapped potential for creating a new rental marketplace and economy.

As the idea formed, it became more evident the rental concept had wider applications. For example, online DVD and game rental is dominated by a few select players. Small stores and entrepreneurs find it difficult to compete. From there, the idea to democratize and reinvent online rental across the board turned into a full fledged business.

iLetYou was recently launched into public beta. Hundreds of stores, large and small, have been started through the iLetYou beta. iLetYou has been covered by several popular technology and trend-spotting outlets and blogs, including CNET and a local Fox News broadcast.

In coming months, iLetYou will be adding new features, increased personalization features, and fun promotions for consumers. iLetYou will also continue to explore new verticals for rental or take a quick tour here.
