Of the two versions of the Resident Evil 5, the Xbox 360 has gained over PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 is graphically much better than PlayStation 3 version. The Xbox 360 version has a warmer look than the play station 3 version. The Xbox 360 is more pleasing to the eye with its high quality graphics.
Though the Xbox 360 is graphically much advanced than the play station 3 version, one cannot come across much difference between the two versions of the Resident Evil 5. The two versions are almost identical, which makes it hard to differentiate between them.
The play station 3 version runs in a lower resolution than the Xbox 360 version. While the Play station 3 does not present screen tearing, the Xbox 360 has it. In Xbox 360, more frames are displayed and the image quality is enhanced because of high resolution. Coming to the colour, the Play station 3 gives a red tone where as the Xbox 360 has a green tint. Well, for some the red tint could be soothing to the eyes and for other the red tint; but it really depends on the players.
Well, the shadows are cast more heavily in the Xbox 360 than the shadows that appear in the play station 3 version, which runs in a low precision mode. While the Xbox 360 version has better texture and shaders, the Play station 3 version lacks certain effects like heat haze, dust particles and self shadowing.
Though some of the differences have been talked of here, one cannot find out a virtual difference between the two at one glance. The differences are so minute that one cannot come across them at any point of playing the Resident Evil 5. However, the Xbox 360 is more advanced than the Play station version.
