2009 BMW 328i: Power plant sweetheart

Posted on 28 Feb, 2009 by Scott under Drive Smarter

After the not to useful test drive of BMW 328i sedan with the incorporation of performance rubber meant for running on snow, there was yet another endeavour to follow. The top-notch vehicle, in fact, the four seasons BMW 330i sedan was once again equipped with the Dunlop Winter sport M3 exclusive in winter tyres. It made the car literally perform in an awesome manner on the white snow.

Turning to the difference between the two models of BMW Sedan, the 328i has a detuned version of the 255 hp engine and 3 litres, which adds to the comparative outlook. Although many car aficionados have summoned it as the power plant sweetheart, it cannot be ignored that at times, the model does appear as if it’s actually breathing out from the nabbing restrictor. Lack of sparkling personality or a lovely pull makes it at times, quite low attention driving than the BMW 330i sedan. Still, it proves to be a worthwhile asset, especially for those who like aspirated engines.

The recent model of BMW 328i has actually enticed several eyeballs at the international platform. Still, no doubt, the price is comparatively higher, much more than poverty spec. One has to go without xenon headlights, folding rear seats, power seats, lumbar adjustment and leather for the expensive price of $34, 425. In case, the customer seeks for lumbar adjustment, it would be perhaps possible with the further investment of $3350, which is possible only in the premium package. No doubt, the investment does sound to be crazy.

Several customers believe that with the charged price, the BMW could have easily provided manual adjustments at the standard rate. For those, who do not know what the standard adjustments include, exploring the Rubik’s Cube would be a decent idea. Ultimately, the 2009 BMW 328i seats continue to be complicated with an aggressive sport suspension. But in spite of the hitches, the three series continues to be one of the most craved for cars on the planet.

The price tag is high, but the car looks ooooh so good. All the less, I don’t see it being worth the money.

Sorry to say it, but it is my opinion that BMW cars have really gone down in consumer value in the last ten years.. No one I know buys them anymore!

I worry about BMWs as they just have such a high upkeep. You put a lot of money into the car and then you’re going to be expected to continue putting money into it regularly.
