Google’s Home Page Updated Again!

At this time, Google is probably the company with the biggest number of developed solutions from all the categories that are available on the internet: mail service, instant messaging, documents, feed readers and many other services that are making our online activities easier to use. Because the company currently provides so many products, it was almost a must to offer a simple way to access all the Google services.
Some time ago, I wrote an article about a Firefox extension that can allow you to
access the majority of the search giant’s solutions directly from the browser. The
add-on installs you a new toolbar that displays a “G” button containing a huge list with services designed by Google.
Although the extension is quite popular, it is not an official add-on developed by Google so many users are avoiding using it. Google also released Personalized Homepage, a product that helps you access most of the search giant’s solutions from a single page. Personalized Homepage can replace your default site with the one provided by Google but customized by you with your favorite Google services and even with more tools that can be added using some tiny utilities designed by both Google and users.
Gadgets are available as a free download and are meant to improve the functionality of the Personalized Homepage and Google Desktop by adding more functions for the user. It seems like Google updated the service again with a new feature that allows you to send certain gadgets to a friend directly from the solution’s page.
“Another small design tweak for the Google Personalized Home Page. Now instead of seeing “Edit Settings”, you will be seeing a button. You will see two options when you click on the button, “Edit settings” and “Send to a friend”. Edit settings stays the same as the one you are familiar with, and Send to a friend, is just to tell your friends to add the gadget to their Google Personalized Home Page (This feature does not seem to be working),” Googlified sustained in a blog post.
