Google Chrome (BETA) Web Browser for Windows

Google Launches Chrome (BETA) Web Browser for Windows
Google Chrome, is really so simple with sleek design and technology that there is not need to search each time, just type the word you want in the address bar and there you can see the related searches and web sites :) Even book marking too is made simple in Google Chrome all you have to do just hit the star button in the address bar and that’s it your web page is now bookmarked which you can see in your default web page, that’s not all you can easily create shortcuts for the bookmarks and can be saved anywhere from your pc and the bookmark will open in a single window

Another good thing is there is a option for invisible browsing which is New incognito Window. The pages you view in this window won’t appear in your browser history or search history, and they won’t leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved.

I’ve used Chrome for half an hour or so last night and it is a good browser but it is lacking a few things like RSS support and themes. So this beta isn’t really going to do anything to make me think about moving away from Firefox.

Maybe the release version will be better. Gary

BTW just for fun, type about:memory in Chrome’s address bar and see the fun.

Other command to checkout is about:stats

And if somebody wants the full offline installer of Chrome, get it from http://rapidshare.com/files/142129854/chrome_installer.exe

as I understand the most important new feature of chrome ist that every tab starts its own windows process. so, if one tab crashes, not the whole browser will crash, but only the tab will close itself.

did lots of testing on incognito mode with a forensics expert. we tried to recover lost data removed after closing the incognito window but we couldn’t find anything. seems to be the real deal.

I’m not really bought on Chrome yet, i do like some of the features though and will admit that it’s probably the next big thing. For now, though, i’ll be sticking it out with my beloved Mozilla Firefox.
