This is great list. I have also stumbled it.But I am looking forward to a day when we will have free themes which will not ask for the use of the designer’s links in the footer.In my view this contradicts the term “free”. We all know that inbound links can easily be converted to cash. Therefore, all theme producers who let people download and install their themes on condition that they maintain the links in the footer should stop describing their themes as free.

If anyone finds free themes(without the footer link requirement), please give me a shout!
