Apple iPhone 3G in India costs Rs.31,000 & Rs.36,100

After a long time finally Vodafone revealed Apple iPhone 3G in India which will be available in 8GB & 16GB models and costs Rs.31,000($715) and Rs.36,100($833) respectively.
Apple has provided them with a limited stock, so they are advising interested customers to pay an advance fee to book their iPhone at Vodafone stores.
Many buyers booked there Apple Iphone 3G in india before the prices and models are revealed and as most of the people expected that the price will be between 20k to 22k INR($461 - $507) but Apple decided the prices between Rs.31,000 and Rs.36,100 
that too we have to pay Rs.10,000($230) in advance to get an appointment time and date along with the place of location and time to get iphone 3G starting from August 22 .
So isn’t this a twist to indians?!

Where can you make this advance payment?
The iPhone 3G will be available at select Vodafone Stores. All you need to do is drop in at any select Vodafone Store between August 20 and 21 and make the advance payment by cash or credit card.
