Google Universal Search

Google Experimental Reading through Google’s Official blog, I found out that yesterday, May 16, Google released their new Universal Search. Basically you will get all kinds of results from one search, such as news, images, and results, in addition to the default web results. It’s just another way that Google makes searching faster, easier, and a lot more convenient. A single click and you get a variety of results. If this becomes succesful, I’m guessing they will remove the other search tabs (such as “images”, “groups”, etc) and replace them with other features. There’s more about the development of Universal Search on their blog. But if you just want to try it out, go right to Google Experimental Search.

A few examples are given to start you off. From what I can tell, it is already operational on all the Google languages, but I believe it redirects to Google.com when you use one of the experimental triggers (i.e. [search term] view:timeline redirects to google.com)
